🦅 Mission X: Nigeria’s Night of Grit, Glory, and a Lesson in Resilience

Image
Last night wasn’t just a football match. It was a life lesson wrapped in 90 minutes of chaos, heartbreak, and triumph . It was another reminder — for me, and for you — to never give up . 🎭 The Emotional Rollercoaster At halftime, Morocco 2 – 0 Nigeria , it looked like the end. Some fans left the stadium in Rabat.  Others exited viewing centres across Nigeria. People gave up. Even I gave up. They looked at the Super Falcons’ lineup and asked: “Where will the goals come from?” “Who will score?” “How will the ball even enter the net?” There was an ageing Agba baller on the pitch, some stars missing from the start, and we looked lost. Then came a WhatsApp group message: “Final score: 2–3 Nigeria.” I got irritated. “No way,” I thought. “This guy must be joking.” I couldn’t finish my drink. Lost appetite.  Took my food home.  Sat outside my gate.  Something nudged me to check the score. Lo and behold… 2–3. I screamed: “MUST THIS COUNTRY A...

From Zero to Hero: How a Knock on the Head Made Me Fall in Love with Mathematics

Image
If there’s anything worth being truly grateful for in life, it’s the lessons we learn along the way — the small moments that shape us into who we are becoming. First, I want to give a heartfelt thank you to all the parents out there who recognize the power of education. Thank you for your sacrifices, your sleepless nights, and your relentless efforts to give your children the gift of learning. And to my own loving and caring parents — thank you for the solid foundation you gave us all. I’ll never take it for granted. Growing up, I was that typical child who hated Mathematics. I dreaded it so much, it felt like a nightmare every time a math class was announced. But one day, something happened — something that completely changed my life. I remember vividly how I used to sneak out of my class and tiptoe down to my elder brother’s class. I’d quietly find my way to the toilet next to their classroom and whisper to whoever was sitting close to the door: “Please call...

🎓 Before You Get Tired of School… Get a First Degree!

Image
Before you start saying “school is a scam,” make sure you have at least a first degree. And for those wondering what that means—it refers to your B.Sc. (Bachelor of Science), B.A . (Bachelor of Arts), B.Eng. (Bachelor of Engineering), and other similar qualifications. Feel free to drop the ones you know in the comment section! Whoever told you going to school is a scam—my brother, avoid them. Now, have you ever wondered what really goes on within the four walls of a higher institution? A lot of cool and goofy stuff happens there. But today, I’ll focus on a part of my university life that keeps coming back to me—because I still live with the lessons today. In fact, I was once queried in two different companies for one of these "acts," even though I was innocent. One gave me a warning, the other terminated my appointment because I wasn’t “remorseful.” But how can I agree to what was never my intention? I'd rather burn than confess that Satan is Lord. These are ...

Remembering Diogo Jota, The Soul of a New Generation

Image
A heartfelt tribute to Diogo Jota — Liverpool forward, Portuguese soul, and humble warrior. Remembering a legacy cut short, but never forgotten. In the early hours of July 3, 2025, the world of football held its breath—and broke its heart. Diogo Jota, a son of Portugal, a champion of Liverpool, a father, a husband, a brother—was gone. Taken too soon in a devastating car accident in Spain, alongside his brother AndrĂ© Silva, just days after celebrating his wedding. He was 28. The news swept through the footballing world like a cold wind. Stadiums fell silent. Tributes poured in. Flags were lowered. And millions grieved—not just the loss of a player, but the loss of something far rarer: a soul who played the game with purity, joy, and relentless purpose. From Porto With Fire Born Diogo JosĂ© Teixeira da Silva on December 4, 1996, in Porto, his story was one of quiet fire. Never the loudest. Never the flashiest. But always burning—steadily, earnestly, and with unwavering...
